Ingredients:
-pre cooked beef (2 cups)
-beef broth (8 cups)
-carrots (2)
-small onion (1)
-1 cup of soup mix
(green split peas)
(red split lentils)
(yellow split peas)
(white long grain rice)
(pearl barley)
-butter (1 tbsp)
-salt (to taste)
-pepper (to taste)
Directions:
Sauté onions in butter in pot
when onions are translucent add broth
once boiling add bean and lentil mix
soft boil for 1 hour
add carrots and beef
let cook till carrots are soft

While making this soup most things went well but I did have trouble with the lentils they were taking a very long time to cook. I didn't know before hand that they do take time to cook so I believe that I undercooked them. If I knew this I think the soup would have turned out a lot better. One thing that went really good was all of the cutting and chopping because of the even pieces all of the ingredients cooked at the same time besides the lentils but other than them everything went great.
